Crane drops steel beam at Royal Adelaide Hospital construction site (ABC)

Work again has stopped on the Royal Adelaide Hospital construction site after another incident involving cranes.

The construction union says a six-metre steel beam slipped from a lifting sling and fell several metres to the ground.

The union has stopped all cranes from operating while drivers meet to discuss safety issues.

There have been several crane incidents during the building work including a crane's load hitting a work shed.
