Man and woman charged with abducting two-year-old Ipswich girlA man and woman have been charged with abducting a two-year-old girl during a home invasion at Ipswich, west of Brisbane, on Saturday.
Queensland police spent the night questioning the 21-year-old woman from Morayfield, north of Brisbane, and 42-year-old man from Victoria.
The pair have been charged with one count each of abducting a child, burglary and committing an indictable offence.
The pair will face the Ipswich Magistrates Court later this morning.
Police have confirmed the pair charged with her abduction knew the child.
The little girl has reportedly been returned to her father.
The child was found safe at Archerfield in Brisbane's south about 7:00pm yesterday, just over 24 hours after being taken from her father's home at Willowbank.
The girl's father says he was inside the house when three men broke in and took the girl just after 8:00pm on Saturday.
"They just basically busted in, took the little child and as I went to walk out the door they smashed me across the face," he said.
"It was quite distressing for the young children."
Police said a woman and three men were seen leaving the address in two sedans.
The girl's father lives at the house with another woman and several other children.
