Emergency crews are at the scene of a fatal car crash on Tasmania's north west coast.
Police say a car carrying three women failed to negotiate a sweeping bend on South Road, West Ulverstone, around three o'clock this afternoon.
They say the car crossed a median strip and struck a male pedestrian before rolling into a brick wall outside a hardware store.
The driver and back seat passenger of the car were killed.
The front seat passenger is in a critical condition and the pedestrian is seriously injured.
Both have been taken to the north-west regional hospital in Burnie.
Tasmania's road toll stands at 14 for the year.
