Police have released an image of a man who attacked a young girl in a Melbourne schoolyard and tried to rip off her clothes.
The eight-year-old girl was approached by a man on the grounds of her school in Hawthorn after around 3.30pm on Thursday.
He dragged her to a secluded area where he yelled at her, kicked her and undid her uniform top.
The girl managed to get away from the man and run from the school.
The man is described as Caucasian, aged in his 20s, with blue eyes and short, blonde hair which was shaved on one side.
