Shots fired into western Sydney home (AAP)

Shots have been fired into a western Sydney home.

Several shots were fired into the front of the house on Mainsbridge Avenue at Liverpool about 11.30pm (AEST) on Monday, police said.

The occupants were home but were not injured.

Specialist forensic officers have inspected the scene and officers from Operation Talon, which was formed in August 2013 to combat public place shootings in Sydney, are assisting the investigation.
