A Queensland police officer who was found with drugs, cash and Viagra has been fined $750.
Nicholas James Sheahan, 29, resigned from the service in June after detectives found evidence of drug use at his Kangaroo Point home, in inner-city Brisbane.
Police who intercepted the off-duty officer on June 19 found him carrying $1000 cash, Brisbane Magistrates Court heard.
Senior Sergeant Mark Gorton said they then searched his house and found white powder in rolled up pieces of paper, "a modest amount of Viagra" and sleeping pills.
Incriminating drug-related messages were found on his phone.
Sheahan pleaded guilty to drug-related charges.
His lawyer apologised on his client's behalf for the embarrassment Sheahan had brought upon work colleagues, the Queensland Police Service and family.
"My client was otherwise looking forward to a long and prosperous career with QPS. That's now gone," lawyer Calvin Gnech said.
Sheahan, who spent six years in the police service, now hopes to become an air traffic controller or join the military.
Magistrate Paul Kluck agreed not to record a conviction and fined the former officer $750 after taking into account his early plea of guilty.
"By your offending you have destroyed your career," he told Sheahan.
