Two Sydney police officers have been taken to hospital after they were injured trying to break-up a drunken brawl.
The pair were among a number of police who responded to reports of a group fight near Darling Harbour's Sydney Aquarium about 11pm on Saturday.
While one of the officers, a constable, was arresting a 21-year-old man, he was hit in the head, with the person responsible yet to be identified.
A sergeant was also struck with a stiletto during the melee and suffered a deep laceration to the right side of his head. As a result, a 26-year-old woman was arrested.
The two officers were taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for treatment of their wounds and possible concussion. One has since been released.
The arrested man and woman remain at Central Police Station where they are expected to be charged.
