An explosion at an Ipswich home on the weekend could be linked to a golf ball bombing last year, police say.
A 59-year-old Ipswich woman was rushed to hospital with a leg injury after what's believed to be a pipe bomb exploded at a home on Ripley Rd, Flinders View, about 4.30pm on Sunday.
Police received reports a pipe had exploded after falling onto the ground on the driveway.
A resident said he'd picked up the pipe while cleaning a friend's yard, but said he had no idea the device was dangerous, The Courier Mail reports.
Ipswich teenager Michael Boggan lost several fingers when a homemade golf ball bomb was thrown to him in May 2013.
It's understood police are investigating whether the two incidents are linked.
