Qld policeman in domestic violence probe (AAP)

A Brisbane police officer has been stood down from duty while being investigated for domestic violence.

The 41-year-old is a first year constable working in the Brisbane region.

Police said he was "the subject of an investigation relating to an incident of domestic violence", but did not reveal further details.

"This does not mean that any allegation against the officer has been substantiated," it said in a statement.
