Not guilty plea in Tas manslaughter case (AAP)

View Comments

A Queensland couple extradited for the alleged manslaughter of a 77-year-old woman in Tasmania has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Police allege Michael Anglin, 55, and his wife Jassy Anglin, 52, caused the death of Ms Anglin's mother, Janet Mackozdi, in July 2010.

They allege the couple was guilty of culpable negligence by failing to provide adequate shelter for Ms Mackozdi.

Michael and Jassy Anglin were extradited from their home in Cairns last week.

They were granted bail in the Hobart Magistrates Court on Monday and will appear in the Supreme Court on July 21.
