Two men are dead and a woman and two young children are in hospital following a head-on collision on the NSW south coast.
Crash investigators have spent hours at the scene of the smash, which happened on Culburra Beach Road about 2.20pm on Saturday.
Police say a Mitsubishi Pajero travelling west and a Kia Sorento headed east collided in the eastbound lanes.
The 35-year-old male driver of the Mitsubishi and the 40-year-old male driver of the Kia died at the scene.
A 36-year-old female passenger in the Mitsubishi sustained a broken arm, fractured ribs, and possible spinal injuries. Two girls in the Mitsubishi, aged four and seven, each sustained a fractured arm.
All three were airlifted to Westmead Hospital and are reported to be in a stable condition.
Shoalhaven police closed Culburra Road for a number of hours after the crash but it has since reopened.
