Soldier critically injured in vehicle accident in Mount Bundy Training Area, south-east of Humpty Doo (ABC)

A soldier has been critically injured in a vehicle accident at the Mount Bundey Training Area in the Northern Territory, the Defence Force says.

Defence personnel provided first aid to the soldier, who was airlifted to hospital.

The soldier's family has been informed and Defence is conducting an investigation into the circumstances that led to the accident at the training area 75 kilometres south-east of Humpty Doo.
