A man has been shot in the leg in Sydney's west, in what police believe was a targeted attack.
Police were called to Bedford Road in Homebush West around 7.30pm (AEST) on Wednesday night following reports of a shooting.
Officers found a large amount of blood in the area but no one was at the scene.
A few hours later, a 23-year-old man turned up to hospital with a single gunshot wound to his left leg.
The man did not help detectives with their inquiries, police said.
Officers would like to speak to a man described as Caucasian in appearance who was in the vicinity at the time of the shooting.
